The SW LRCs work together and in partnership with other organisations to produce datasets covering the South West region.
We have agreed standards and processes for data-interchange which enable us to work effectively over the South West as a whole, and on projects which span more than one LRC's area.
The map on this page showing the Distribution of Himalayan Balsam for South West England was produced by DERC on behalf of the SW. Each LRC provided data for their area in a common format, which gave significant efficiencies in appending the datasets and producing the regional map.
